The Bureau of Sad Endings is not a design project nor is it an art project. Instead, it’s a people project. We are seeking to understand the so-called “human condition.” We will chronicle the beginning and the middle in order to understand The End. Endings after all that teach us about ourselves. They allow us to both celebrate and mourn that which has passed.
Ginger Baker describes the correct process for making tea in the Masters of Reality song, “T.U.S.A.” He emphasizes the need for the water to be boiling. And thus, making tea takes time. Similarly so will this endeavor. So be patient and join us we try uncover the truth behind endings. It’s important to note here that we have determined that all endings are inherently sad. Why? Because they require reminiscing about the past and the ability to determine where things either went well or did not go well and how in fact something has transpired to the point that it not only started but also ended.
